A brawl occurred between policemen and the refugees who rallied in the Republic Square in the capital of France, Paris, following the evacuation of the refugee camp near the suburban region of Saint Denis with the operation conducted by the police.


More than 2 thousand refugees residing in the refugee camp near the suburb of Saint Denis in the French capital, Paris, were evacuated early in the morning with the operation conducted by the police.

Following the operation, evacuated refugees gathered on the Republic Square (Place de la République) located on the border between the 3rd, 10th and 11th Parisian districts to settle there. The French Police has forcefully intervened. A brawl took place between the police and the refugees who gathered there. Last night the Police took the 500 tents which were placed to protest the conditions of refugees away.

Gerald Darmain, Minister of Internal Affairs of France, has expressed his shock towards some of the scenes that occurred during the clash and requested a detailed statement regarding the incident from the Police on his social media account.
